“I’ll need to transfer you to bookings.”
What’s it all about? BLIND SPOT follows a disgruntled man named Steven (Brandon Brackenbury) as he has a conversation on the phone while en route to the airport. He is having difficulty reaching a travel agent that can change his flight from 7:00AM to 7:00PM. Really, he’s having an awful day and can’t see how it could get any worse. Except, of course, it could always get worse, couldn’t it?
Directed by Matthew Nayman, BLIND SPOT is an exceptional, well-paced short film with ties to both comedy and science fiction. It boasts eye-catching cinematography and special effects as well as an appropriately frustrated (and frustrating) performance by Brandon Brackenbury — all delivered in one continuous shot.
